Inside the image.
A wide, borderless photographic cover combines a starry night sky, a large moon and a woman standing on a rocky shore. The woman is the main human figure, placed in the right-hand third of the image and shown nearly full-length. She wears a long, dark, layered gown that spreads across the rocks around her feet. Her body is turned slightly towards the left, while her face is angled towards the viewer; one hand rests near her waist. Her light skin and bare shoulders catch the warm light, setting her apart from the dark shoreline.
The moon hangs in the upper-left quadrant, unusually large in relation to the distant horizon. Its pale pink, grey and dusky violet surface shows mottled craters and patches. Behind it, a deep blue-black sky fades to a muted mauve and orange band above the sea. Small points of light are scattered across the sky. The low horizon runs across the image just below the midpoint, with a calm-looking sea beyond a narrow strip of surf. At the far right, a dark tree silhouette leans into the sky.
The foreground is a sloping expanse of rough, cracked rock, tinted dusty rose and brown by the low light. Its uneven ridges and crevices lead the eye from the lower edge towards the figure and the water. The brightest areas are the moon, the woman's skin, and parts of the rocks; most of the dress, tree and near shoreline fall into deep shadow. The scene has a photographic, composite-like appearance, with the oversized moon and finely scattered stars lending the sky a heightened, dreamlike quality.
At the top centre, white uppercase lettering reads “ELIN FFLUR”, set in widely spaced, slim sans-serif capitals. A fine horizontal line sits beneath the name; below it, smaller, widely spaced capitals read “LLEUAD LLAWN”. The title block is centred over the sky and leaves clear space between the lettering, moon and figure.
What the image evokes.
The image holds a tension between a recognisable coastal night and an almost theatrical scale. The moon seems close enough to have weight, while the woman stands as a solitary, grounded presence against it. Her elaborate dark gown gathers into the rock as if it belongs to the landscape, yet its formal shape also gives her the air of a performer paused on a stage.
The fading strip of sunset beneath the stars makes the scene feel suspended between hours, with the last warmth at the horizon set against the cool sky and moonlight. The shore might be read as a threshold: land, water and sky meet in horizontal bands, while the figure occupies their boundary. The mood is at once romantic and slightly uncanny; the still sea and composed pose suggest calm, but the enlarged moon and deep shadows unsettle that calm. The restrained lettering feels quiet beside the expansive image, like a title placed into the night rather than laid over a busy design.
