Both figures are visible from head to lower legs, though the lettering covers part of the lower centre.

The pair occupy most of the frame, with the woman lower and farther left and the man taller to the right. The broad, irregular grey-brown rock fills the central foreground between them, partly concealed by the title. Behind them, tree trunks, thin branches and dense foliage form a close, shadowed background; a patch of grass is visible at lower left. The upright trunk near the centre divides the figures and adds depth. The image has no visible border or unoccupied margin.

Greens and browns dominate the trees and ground, contrasted by the woman's blue clothing, the man's navy jacket and the pale rock. Daylight falls clearly on the people and stone, while the woodland behind them is darker and more mottled. The photograph has natural, uneven detail, with no apparent illustration or painted treatment.

Large white calligraphic lettering reading “Partel” sweeps across the lower middle and right, laid over the rock and the figures' lower bodies. Its fine, looping strokes and pronounced capitals contrast with the compact, bold uppercase title “DATHLU DEG” directly beneath. Below that, several centred lines of small uppercase Welsh text appear in pale yellow and white: “DETHOLIAD O DRACIAU / O’U 3 ALBWM DIWETHAF / YNGHYD Â 4 TRAC NEWYDD”, followed by “A SELECTION OF TRACKS / FROM THEIR 3 PREVIOUS ALBUMS / PLUS 4 NEW RECORDINGS”. The lettering is layered over the photograph rather than set apart in a panel.
