Inside the image.
A square cover combines large lettering with a vividly coloured mountain landscape. A steep, irregular mountain fills most of the lower half, rising to a pointed summit just left of centre and descending in jagged ridges towards the right. Its blue and turquoise slopes are marked with branching pale lines and patches of green, giving the surface a mottled, map-like appearance. A darker blue ridge stands behind it on the right; beyond that, a narrow strip of pale blue and white horizontal bands suggests distant water or further landscape. The mountain is cut off by the bottom and side edges, with no border around the image.
Behind the peak, the sky shifts from deep, textured blue across the top to turquoise and green at the sides, then to a bright yellow-white glow around the summit. The glow silhouettes parts of the ridge and spreads into pale blue and white towards the right. The colour transitions are soft and painterly, while the mountain contours remain sharply defined. The overall treatment is illustrative, with layered colour, uneven brush-like or printed-looking texture, and fine pale markings across the slopes; it is not presented as a straightforward photograph.
The title occupies much of the upper half. At the top, the smaller line “Côr Bro Gwerful” is set in white, slender serif lettering, centred across the cover. Beneath it, “ADEILADU” and “MYNYDD” appear as two very large, tightly spaced lines of bold uppercase sans-serif lettering. The letters are pale blue-green with darker shading or shadowing, and their transparency allows some of the sky colour to show through. They extend almost from edge to edge and overlap the sky above the mountain, with the lower line partly covering the glowing area behind the summit.
What the image evokes.
The image sets the solidity of a mountain against a sky that seems to be changing or opening behind it. The summit sits in a flare of yellow light, so the landscape can feel both rugged and unexpectedly luminous, as if dawn were breaking through cloud or a painted stage backdrop were lit from behind. The mountain's blue-green surface, threaded with pale branching marks, has a second life as a map, a network of paths, or a close-up of veined stone; its identity stays open between landscape and pattern.
The oversized words make the cover feel constructed and declarative. Their cool, monumental block forms press across the sky like a sign or a façade, while the smaller serif line above lends a more measured, almost literary note. That pairing creates a gentle tension between the designed, architectural feel of the typography and the irregular natural contours beneath it. The bright centre offers uplift, but the deep blues and imposing peak keep the scene grounded and slightly mysterious. It can suggest a landscape imagined through memory or colour rather than a literal view, vivid enough to feel dreamlike without losing the mountain's weight.
